I like the city on rainy nights
When everything is wet,
When all the streets have magic lights
And roads of shining jet.
When all the rain about the town
Is like a looking glass,
When all the lights are upside down
Below one as I pass.

শীতের দুপুর, মিষ্টি রোদ
লুডো খেলা , আড্ডা হোক
আঁচার চুরির নেইকো রোক
চড়ুইভাতি যাওয়ার ঝোঁক
অলসতার বাহার হোক
রাতে ভূতের গল্প হোক,
কষা মাংসের গন্ধ হোক
কিংবা আলুর দম ই হোক
গুড়ের রসগোল্লা হোক
কিংবা গুড়ের পায়েস হোক
বাঁদর টুপি পরার শোক
কিংবা ভোরে ওঠার শোক
নকশিকাঁথার গন্ধ হোক
কিংবা শীতের বিয়ে হোক
গরম কফির ধোঁয়াই হোক
কিংবা চা এর চুমুক হোক
সব মিলিয়ে আমেজ হোক
শীতই প্রেমের ঋতু হোক।

Life is like a bubble,
You get into lot of trouble,
Which then becomes double,
And you end up in a rubble.
You stop at more than one station,
One such stop is depression,
What peaks your mind is frustration,
But never should one surrender to the situation.
The key is to always stay humble,
No matter how much pressure makes you crumble,
There'll be moments when you fumble,
During those times don't find your solution in a grumble.
They say life is a race,
We all got to keep up the pace,
We know not what we all chase,
Just some delusional footprints we trace.
Love leads to pain,
You feel there's nothing to gain,
But still you hop on that train,
And thus continues the chain.
Floats and sinks like a ship,
Two sides of a coin that never flip,
Cemented stronger than a relationship,
Such is the bond of friendship.
Have a look at the world around you,
You'll always find something new,
Things that couldn't be more pleasant a view,
There are more colours to the world than you ever knew.
