The Mother's Wax Museum is a unique attraction where you can see wax statues of famous personalities from diferent felds like politics, sports, and entertainment. It's located in New Town, Kolkata, but you have to take a whole day to completely explore it. When you visit the museum, you'll be amazed by the lifelike wax statues. It's like meeting your favorite celebrities in person. They have statues of icons like Rabindranath Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan, and even international fgures like Barack Obama and Lionel Messi.
The museum is not just about the wax statues, though. It's designed in a way that refects the vibrant street architecture and urban landscape of Kolkata. The building itself has a unique architectural style that blends modern design with traditional elements, giving it a distinct look.

LAKE TOWN
CLOCK TOWER
The Lake town clock tower is the replica of Big Ben situated at London.
It’s structure is around 135 feet in height. Situated at the Lake town main road, it has left every passersby awestruck. Also called the ,” Kolkata Time Zone” was built by the Kolkata municipality body at a cost of 1.36 crores.
It has the retro watches on all its four sides provided by the Anglo Swiss Company. The mechanical work of the clock has been designed and built by the T.R.Clock Company, one of the oldest horologists of Kolkata. The tower has LED lights ft all over it and it lights up in the evening, keeping with the original Big Ben’s light works.
As you drive along the Kazi Nazrul Islam Sarani, popular as VIP Road, the chaotic urban planning makes for a jarring sight. But don't avert your gaze just yet. Wait until you reach the juncture between Lake Town and VIP Road. A surprise awaits - in the shape of "Big Ben". This clock tower at Lake Town, which is designed after the iconic clock tower at London's Westminster, has been inviting surprised reactions.
It is one of the iconic landmarks of the city of Kolkata.

NETAJI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport was founded in the early 1900s. RMJM’s award winning design for Kolkata Airport’s new integrated domestic and international terminal refects the client’s vision for a world-class terminal that integrates cutting-edge technology with unique cultural qualities.
The airport features 23 gates and over 100 check-in counters capable of handling 20 million passengers per annum.
The airport is built in an L shape and consists of six foors, housing over 30 restaurants, 20 boutiques, duty-free shops, free Wi-Fi, vending machines, and frst-class lounges.
Additionally, the airport features facilities such as ATMs, currency exchange counters, baggage wrapping services, a tourist information center, frst aid room, retiring room, childcare room, and a post ofce
Both landscape and architecture designs are an abstract reference to the writing of Rabindranath Tagore of Bengal, with symbolized scripts adorning the airport and the internal courtyards. Sikka Associates were the executive architect in this project.
The Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, commonly known as Kolkata Airport, is a modern architectural marvel.
It has been awarded the Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacifc Region in 2014 and 2015 The closest metro station to the airport is about 3.7 miles away at Dum Dum Cantonment Station. The airport's expansion plans include an 86-meter Air Trafc Control Tower and a four-story ofce complex. Furthermore, the airport ofers prepaid taxis and air-conditioned buses for city connectivity. A fyover at Nagerbazar and an entry ramp on VIP Road have been constructed to enhance accessibility.
